Where we operate
Proudly Serving East Tennessee
From Knoxville to Gatlinburg and everywhere in between, landscaping, hardscaping, and excavation across a 50-mile radius of Sevierville, TN.
A Local Crew, Not A Franchise
Built For East Tennessee’s Terrain
Appalachian Landscaping and Hardscapes has spent years working the hills, valleys, and river bottoms of East Tennessee, and the difference shows up in details a national franchise usually misses, the way certain Knox County lots hold water after a spring storm, how a mountain grade in Gatlinburg changes where a deck footing goes, or which plants actually survive a Sevier County summer without constant babysitting.
We’re a family-owned crew based in Sevierville, and our service area covers a 50-mile radius that touches seven counties and nine cities and towns. Whether you’re looking for a full landscape redesign in Knoxville, a new paver patio in Pigeon Forge, excavation and site work in Kodak, or a mountain-ready deck in Gatlinburg, the crew that gives you a quote is the same crew that does the work. Find your city below to see what we offer in your area, or reach out directly, if you’re close to our footprint but not on this list, we’re usually happy to talk it through.
Service areas breakdown
Our Service Locations
From concept to completion to ongoing care, one trusted team that handles every phase of your outdoor space.
Knoxville
As Knox County’s largest metro area, Knoxville properties range from downtown lots to sprawling suburban acreage. We handle everything from full landscape installs to grading and excavation for larger builds, usually our busiest service area in any given week.
Sevierville
Sevierville is home base, so response times here are the fastest we offer, and it’s where the crew that answers your call actually lives. Between newer subdivisions and older properties near downtown, we’ve worked nearly every kind of lot Sevier County has.
Pigeon Forge
Pigeon Forge properties come with their own challenges, cabin rentals need decks and hardscaping that hold up to heavy tourist traffic, and commercial lots along the parkway need grading and drainage that lasts. We’re used to building in a tourist-heavy corridor.
Kodak
Kodak sits right along our daily route between Sevierville and Knoxville, which usually means quicker turnaround on excavation and deck projects alike. It’s a mix of newer development and established farmland, and we’ve worked both.
Morristown
Morristown and the rest of Hamblen County see less big-city landscaping attention than Knoxville or Sevierville, but the deck and patio work we do out here holds to the same standard. Outside our usual footprint, we’re happy to talk through what’s realistic.
Newport
Cocke County’s mountain terrain typically means more grading and site prep than a comparable build in flatter parts of our service area. We factor that into every Newport estimate from the start, not after equipment’s already on-site.
Maryville
Blount County is a bit of a drive from Sevierville, but it’s well within our 50-mile radius, and Maryville homeowners get the same crew and the same written-estimate process as everyone else on this list.
Jefferson City
Jefferson City and the surrounding Dandridge area sit along Douglas Lake, so a lot of the deck and patio requests we get here are designed around lake views and outdoor entertaining space.
Gatlinburg
Gatlinburg is the toughest terrain we regularly work in, steep driveways, cabin foundations, and tight mountain access all factor into how we plan a build here. It’s specialized work, and a big part of why we service this area at all.

Why It Matters
Why East Tennessee Trusts A Local Crew
Four things that change when the company doing your estimate is the same one doing the work.
Same Crew, Every Time
The team that shows up for your consultation is the same team on-site for installation, no subcontractor hand-off, no surprises.
Terrain We Actually Know
East Tennessee runs from flat Knoxville lots to steep Smoky Mountain grades, often within the same 20-minute drive. We plan differently for each.
Transparent, Written Estimates
You’ll get a detailed proposal before any equipment shows up on your property, no verbal ballpark that turns into a different number later.
Family-Owned, Not Franchised
Appalachian is a family business, not a corporate rollup. Decisions get made by people who live in the communities they serve.
Common Questions
Service Area FAQs
Do you charge extra to travel outside Sevierville?
Travel isn’t itemized as a separate line item within our standard 50-mile service radius. If your property falls outside that radius, we’ll tell you upfront during the consultation whether we can still take on the project and what that means for scheduling.
How do I know if my town is in your service area?
If you’re within roughly 50 miles of Sevierville, TN, chances are we cover you, that includes Knox, Sevier, Jefferson, Hamblen, Cocke, and Blount counties. If your town isn’t listed above, reach out anyway; we take on projects just outside our usual footprint when scheduling allows.
Do all cities get the same services?
Every city on this page has access to our full range of services, landscaping, hardscaping, excavation, deck and patio installation, and land clearing. Some cities have dedicated project pages with more detail; where we haven’t built one yet, you’ll be routed to our general service page, which covers the same ground.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. We walk the property, talk through what you want, and follow up with a written proposal, no cost and no obligation to move forward.
How far in advance should I book?
It depends on the season and the size of the job. Spring and early summer are our busiest stretches across every city we serve, so if you have a target date, the earlier you reach out, the more flexibility we’ll have on scheduling.
Can you handle both the design and the installation?
Yes, design, installation, and (for landscaping clients) ongoing maintenance are all handled in-house by the same team, so nothing gets lost in a hand-off between separate design and build companies.
Ready to start your project?
Tell us about your property and we’ll follow up with a plan and estimate.
